You have to worry about much more than your enemies when you're running with a gang. Everybody has to eat, after all and bullets aren't free either. A man can't live on bread and water alone, so once you've fuelled up your body and your weapons you'll likely want to splash out a bit - go drinking, gambling, whoring or whatever else lights your fire. These all cost money, too. So, where is all this hard cash going to come from? Well, that depends. Some gangs scratch a living from the barren soil of No-Man's Land, whilst others prefer less honest means of making a living. Most, however, get by on a mix of the two. Wherever the money came from, this section tells you how much you have left after such luxuries as eating and keeping your guns running and full of shots have been taken care of.
So Many Mouths to FeedThe more guys you have to feed, arm and entertain the more of a drain it's going to put on your cashflow and docs don't work for free either. All of this is reflected by your gangs Expenses Rating. Lucky for you, working this out is fairly straightforward.Starting from the rating for your gang's size, simply add together all the modifiers from the table below that apply to your gang. This gives a value representative of your gang's overheads and the higher it is, the less spare cash you're going to have.
When working out your gangs initial rating for it's size, you should include all members of your gang (except hired guns) and all captives you hold. Note also that the modifiers for weapons being unreliable, automatic and heavy are cumulative - a weapon that was all three would add +3. It had better be worth it!
Paying The BillsSo, you know how much loot your territories and raids have brought in, and how expensive it is to run your gang. "So what!" you cry "How much do I get to take home?"As in 1st ed, working this out is pretty simple - just cross reference your income and your expenses on the table below to find out how much spare cash you have left at the end of the day! (Note that "income" includes EVERYTHING: your territories, loot counters, your stash. Also note that this is just the table from the Necromunda rulebook for now. I may fiddle with the numbers a bit later but it'll do as a starting point.)
