LOST PLATOONS

Combat in the Deadzone is fraught with danger. Urban combat is always a hard fought and brutal affair, but the sheer size of the ruins and their effect upon even short range communications multiply these dangers a hundredfold. Whole armies can be attacked and destroyed without anyone ever knowing what happened, the scattered survivors fleeing blindly into the trackless depths of the dead hive.

In response to the threat of Renegade raiders Imperial High Command has ordered that all stragglers be considered hostile by Imperial forces and so these sorry remnants have no choice but to pull together and fight for their lives against hostile renegades, greenskinned hordes and former allies alike.

Lost Platoons: provisional list


Note - this list is nowhere near finalised yet! This is just somewhere for me to begin... I'm aiming for a usual game size of 500 points, so make your warband to that total and tell me how it goes!

1+ COMMAND


0-1 LIEUTENNANT (25 pts): M4, WS4, BS4, S3, T3, W1, I4, A1, Ld9
Flak armour, Laspistol and sword
May chose any equipment from the characters list
BODYGUARD: May be accompanied by 0-2 Bodyguards. Bodyguards cost the same price as Tactical Squad members. The Lieutennant and his bodyguards count as one model for movement and targeting - enemies roll to hit the group and randomise hits between it's members.

0-1 COMMISSAR (60 pts): M4, WS4, BS4, S3, T3, W1, I4, A2, Ld10
SKILLS: Nerves of Steel (Ferocity), Unshakable Faith (Special - immune to psychology, cannot hide)
Flak armour, Laspistol and sword
May chose any equipment from the characters list

0+ SPECIALISTS


MEDIC (15 pts): M4, WS3, BS3, S3, T3, W1, I3, A1, Ld8
Flak armour, Medipack and laspistol. May chose any equipment from the characters list
SKILL: Medic (Techno)

0-1 SHARPSHOOTER (15 pts): M4, WS2, BS5, S3, T3, W1, I3, A1, Ld8
Flak armour, Lasgun and laspistol. May purchase a sniper rifle at +20 points
SKILL: Marksman (Shooting)

GREASE MONKEY (15 pts): M4, WS3, BS3, S3, T3, W1, I3, A1, Ld8
Flak armour, Toolbox and laspistol. May chose any equipment from the characters list
SKILL: Grease Monkey (New Techno. Concerns vehicles - see "Fixer" in Gorkamorka Odd skills if possible)

2+ SQUADS


2+ TACTICAL SQUADS (4-10 models)
  • Rookies (3 pts): M4, WS2, BS2, S3, T3, W1, I3, A1, Ld6
  • Guardsman (6 pts): M4, WS3, BS3, S3, T3, W1, I3, A1, Ld7
  • Veterans (10 pts): M4, WS3, BS4, S3, T3, W1, I3, A1, Ld8
50% of the models in any squad must be normal Guardsmen.
All models are armed with a lasgun and wear flak armour. Any model may exchange their Lasgun for a combat shotgun for free.
One model in three may choose a special or heavy weapon (being a loader for a Hvy Weapon counts as a choice)

0+ FIRE SUPPORT SQUADS (1-3 teams)

  • Rookies (10 pts): M4, WS2, BS2, S3, T3, W1, I3, A1, Ld6
  • Guardsman (15 pts): M4, WS3, BS3, S3, T3, W1, I3, A1, Ld7
  • Veterans (30 pts): M4, WS3, BS4, S3, T3, W1, I3, A1, Ld8
Cost is for both members of the team. May not have more than one FS squad per two tactical squads.
All models are armed with a laspistol and wear flak armour.
Each team must have a heavy weapon (one member is automatically the loader). All teams must choose the same weapon.
Each team can opperate individually on the battlefield.

Power armour (1+ save), Bolter and Boltpistol, Frag grenades and sword (his knife - it's that big...).
SKILLS: Killer Rep, True Grit (Ferocity), Iron Jaw (Muscle), Rapid Fire - bolt weapons (Shooting), Weaponsmith (Techno), Immune to Pinning.

This is how hard he really is, when compared to Guardsmen - let me know just how good he is so I can decide how to proceed...
